Overview Expression of Interest – Aviation Training Systems. Beca Applied Technologies operates across defence, national security, aviation, information security, software and transportation. This role is based at RNZAF Ohakea in Manawatu and focuses on systems engineering, training systems, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical plant. A strong focus on health and safety, client‑facing skills and ability to deliver in a dynamic deadline‑driven environment are essential. Eligible for NZDF Defence Site Clearance or National Security Clearance is required, and occasional evening shifts may be required. We seek a process‑oriented individual with experience or interest in aviation; a background in the military or training sectors is a plus. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems. Develop and deliver technical or aircrew training. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions, breaking down complex technical information into simple, understandable terms. Qualifications Experience in engineering maintenance of electrical and mechanical plant. Experience or strong interest in aviation and training systems. Process‑oriented with understanding of contractual obligations and KPIs. Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical information for diverse audiences.
