Job Description
About the role: Join our friendly and hardworking kitchen team at Peacehaven Village, where you'll play an important part in helping provide nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. As a Kitchen Hand, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This is a hands‑on role that suits someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes. The position is casual, offering flexibility and variety. Shifts may be rostered between 5:30 am and 10:00 pm, seven days a week, and you will be based at Peacehaven Village, Tweed Street. No previous kitchen experience is required; we are looking for reliable team players with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: Washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining a tidy kitchen Preparing ingredients and assisting with meal preparation and service Working collaboratively with cooks and kitchen staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents Contributing to a positive team culture while supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the kitchen Following food safety and hygiene standards to ensure safe food handling practices What you will need to be successful: Friendly, reliable, and happy to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed A team player who enjoys working alongside others to achieve great outcomes Passionate about providing a positive dining experience for older people Able to follow food safety and hygiene standards while maintaining a clean and organised workspace Flexible, dependable, and ready to learn new skills in a rewarding role About us: At Enliven Peacehaven Village your work has purpose.
