Job Description
New Business Acquisition Identify and target new business opportunities across air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), customs brokerage, domestic transport, and warehousing services. Develop and execute territory and vertical market sales strategies. Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, tenders, and industry events. Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified logistics opportunities. Lead RFI/RFQ/tender submissions in collaboration with pricing and operations teams. Solution Development & Commercial Negotiation Analyse customer supply chain requirements and develop tailored logistics solutions. Work closely with operations and pricing teams to structure competitive and profitable proposals. Present service offerings, transit options, routing solutions, and value-added services. Negotiate rates, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms. Secure multi-modal logistics agreements with sustainable margin performance. Market & Industry Development Identify growth sectors (e.g., FMCG, retail, automotive, industrial, project cargo). Monitor competitor activity, trade lane trends, and market rate movements. Represent the company at trade shows and logistics networking events. Build relationships with key importers/exporters and supply chain decision-makers. Account Transition & Growth Ensure smooth onboarding and handover of new accounts to operations and account management teams. Maintain engagement during implementation to ensure service delivery expectations are met. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within new accounts. Reporting & CRM Management Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting in CRM. Provide weekly activity and performance updates.
