Job Description
Iplex Pipelines NZ is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems in New Zealand. We manufacture and supply plastic pipeline systems for a diverse range of sectors including the plumbing & rainwater, civil, rural, energy & communications. We have approximately 230 employees across operational sites in Palmerston North, Christchurch, Ashburton and Auckland. Responsibilities Carrying out correct pack off processes Ensuring all start-ups, shutdowns and change overs are carried out correctly. Ensuring scrap is well managed and controlled Carrying out process troubleshooting and process corrective actions. General Machine Operation – Ensuring all paperwork and quality checks are carried out correctly and any out of spec measurements are actioned accordingly Ensuring basic machine maintenance tasks are carried out correctly Production process meets plan, and process non‑conformances are addressed. Replenishing materials Following standard operating procedures Please note our shifts are 4 days on, 4 days off – 2 day shifts 8am to 8pm then 2 night shifts 8pm to 8am. About You Mechanical skills/aptitude Physically fit as you may be moving loads up to 25kg Solid time management skills and reliability is key A focus on health and safety Basic computer skills and attention to detail Good problem solver and effective communicator Reliable and punctual; able to work designated shifts Basic literacy skills – able to read, understand and follow work instruction.
