Develop balanced menus thatcater to a range of dietary and cultural requirements. Maintain high food safety,hygiene and kitchen standards in accordance with relevant legislation andregulations. Manage kitchen operations,food storage and inventory within budget. Support opportunities fortamariki to participate in kai preparation as part of their learningexperience. Build positive relationshipswith tamariki, whānau and kaimahi while promoting Te Wānanga o Aotearoavalues and kaupapa. We are looking for someone who has: A Certificate in Food Safetyand Hygiene or a related qualification. A current First AidCertificate. A Full NZ Driver Licence(Class 1). Proven experience workingindependently in a commercial kitchen. Experience preparing mealsfor larger groups, ideally within an early learning or childcareenvironment. A strong understanding offood safety regulations and nutritional requirements for babies, toddlersand young tamariki. Excellentrelationship-building and communication skills. The ability to create nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingnessto participate in cultural activities and develop your understanding of āhuatangaMāori (values, culture and tikanga) is highly desirable.
