# Enrolled Nurse - District Nursing at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern, Southland## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Enrolled Nurse – District Nursing*** **Southland Hospital*** **Part time 0.6 FTE*** **Salary Band $71,682 - $87,433 p.a. pro-rata + Kiwisaver**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**Our Enrolled Nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community, residential or hospital settings.You will:* Contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau.* Assist health consumers with the activities of daily living, observe changes in health consumers' conditions and report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competence* Work in a team in acute settings with a registered nurses, enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants* Be accountable for their nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation, to their level of knowledge and experience* Work in partnership with health consumers, families/whanau and multidisciplinary teams.**About the Team/Service/ Location**Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
