We’ve got an exciting Electrician role just for you! In this position, you’ll provide an electrical trade’s service to Omexom, covering the full range of electrical services expected of a qualified electrician, making a real impact. Responsibilities Explaining appliance operations to clients and completing all necessary documentation Connecting and disconnecting fixed wired appliances or equipment, testing and inspecting supply voltage Performing high voltage maintenance and construction work to client specifications Responding to emergency fault breakdown work within response times Installing substation and other high voltage equipment as per job instructions and specifications Installing and testing earthing systems in accordance with regulations and standards, and completing necessary documentation Installing switchboards to current regulations, standards, energy requirements and specifications Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client’s plant and equipment by completing projects and maintenance work on time and to requirement Understand and comply with your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and all associated regulations, standards, and approved codes of practice Comply with any reasonable instruction given to you by Omexom relating to health and safety Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required A trade qualification as electrician and registration with current practising licence preferred EWRB Practicing License Required Hands‑on experience in commercial, industrial, or high voltage electrical work to industry standards A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements pertaining to the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work Possess a valid full and clean Class 1 NZ driver’s licence An absolute commitment to working safely Be self‑motivated and proactive Can manage time and priorities Possess a “can‑do” attitude At Omexom, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment that values and respects diverse styles, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
