Registered Nurse – Matariki Continuing Care (Te Awamutu) We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Matariki Continuing Care. At Matariki, we provide both long‑term and short‑term care, supporting residents through recovery, rehabilitation, and ongoing health needs. About the Role As an RN in our service, you will play a key clinical role within a multidisciplinary team, supporting residents with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. We are looking for nurses who are confident in their clinical practice, proactive in their approach, and dedicated to making a meaningful difference during what can be a challenging time for residents and their whānau. Experience in an acute, hospital, or aged‑care setting is preferred. You’ll need to be comfortable working rostered and rotating shifts, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and remain calm and focused in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and patient‑centred nursing care. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with a range of medical conditions. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when needed. Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines. Support patients with respiratory therapies, including oxygen and non‑invasive ventilation where required. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. Provide education and support to patients and their families. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Promote a safe working environment and adhere to infection control practices. Participate in ongoing learning and professional development. About you Current APC and registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Minimum of 2+ years healthcare experience. Excellent communication skills. Strong team player. Good time management & ability to work autonomously.
