Accounting Professional Intern Contribute to the delivery of Financial Reporting & Compliance in a global company as a Accounting Professional Intern. Spend your summer gaining global and regional experience as part of the finance team of an international, industry-leading organization. Responsibilities Prepare working papers to support financial entries and complete analysis of financial information. Complete the Financial Statements for the New Zealand and Australian Companies. Assist in audit field work, responding to audit requests, identifying and interpreting data. Prepare Tax working papers to support the tax position of New Zealand and Australian entities. Support the wider Finance Team with year-end close, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Identify and implement process improvements. Qualifications Completing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or similar at a New Zealand University. Excellent knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets. A drive for efficiency to effectively meet tight deadlines. Flexible approach to working in a changing environment and can work well under pressure. Ability to analyse data and suggest conclusions/recommendations to others. Proactive, collaborative communication style and a drive for continuous learning. Ability to think critically and work independently while maintaining an analytical approach and high attention to detail. Curiosity and willingness to learn.
