About Halter: Our mission is to enable farmers and graziers to improve productivity and sustainability by providing technology that transforms grazing operations and allows cattle to move freely. About The Role Halter is looking for high-performing Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering students to join the Halter Hardware team for the summer. The internship focuses on hardware system design and development, working closely with Electronics, Mechanical, Firmware, and Production teams to improve product performance. The position is onsite, full‑time, 40 hours per week, from mid‑November 2026 to February 2027. What Your Day Could Look Like Reduce device cost and increase reliability and performance by optimizing existing circuits and developing new electronic designs. Conduct design verification testing to quantify the quality of hardware designs. Design and build ancillary systems, jigs, devices, and processes to support hardware and firmware development and device production. Provide technical debugging support to internal Halter team members or external suppliers. Assist with miscellaneous projects that support high‑level team objectives. Who are we looking for? Enrolled in penultimate or final year of an electronics, mechatronics, or related engineering degree, or recently completed the program. Curious, eager to learn, and excited about advancing hardware technology. Energetic and enthusiastic about the mission of Halter. Passionate about electronics and hardware design, with extracurricular involvement. Motivated to take ownership, deliver high‑quality work, and grow professionally.
