Job Title & Basic Information Automation Systems Engineer Location: Invercargill Job Type: Full-Time Work Time: 8AM - 5PM Experience Level: 4+ years in project engineering or automation delivery Salary: From $95,000 Position Posted: March 18, 2026 Responsibilities Lead automation and safety projects from initial scoping through to final commissioning. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to define requirements and keep projects moving efficiently. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical coordination across design, programming, installation, and startup. Support the development of high-performing control solutions that meet operational, safety, and performance goals. Prepare project documentation, reports, and handover information to ensure smooth delivery and long-term support. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Project Engineering, or a related field. Experience delivering industrial automation or control system projects in a manufacturing or process environment. Strong understanding of project delivery, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination. Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and safety system concepts. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
