Job Description

Location: Wellington About the Role As an Intake, Triage, and Assessment Clinician (Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist) with Wellington CAMHS, you will help young people and their whānau access the mental health care they need when they need it most. Every referral you screen, every assessment you conduct, and every connection you make can change a young person's life for the better. Responsibilities Facilitate access to a wide range of Mental Health and Addiction services. Conduct mental health assessments with young people (0–17 years) and their families. Provide timely crisis response to ensure urgent needs are met. Collaborate with your team, GPs, other mental health and addiction teams, and a range of community providers. Ensure care is safe, high‑quality, and equitable for every young person and their whānau. Qualifications Registered mental health professional (Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker). At least five years of district mental health experience. Current practising certificate. Skilled in assessments, risk evaluation, and crisis response. Enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families. Confident working within a team environment and independently. Thrives in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment.
