Overview Based at Christchurch Hospital Campus, 0.6FTE (24 hours per week) permanent position available. Shifts rostered across Monday - Friday. About the Role We currently have a 0.6FTE (24 hours per week) permanent position available for a senior Registered Nurse to join the team. The Day Surgery Nursing team provides pre‑ and post‑operative care to patients undergoing surgical and interventional radiology procedures across many specialties and provides pre‑operative care for patients having major surgery. Hours of work: Monday - Friday, closed on public holidays. Shifts: 0645‑1515, 0700‑1530, 0900‑1730 and 1130‑2000 with on‑call 2000‑2100. About the Service The service has three adult Day Surgery Units – Day Surgery Unit, DOSA and Adult Surgical Admissions Waipapa – and one Children’s Day Surgery Unit, Children’s Surgical Admissions Waipapa. About You Registered Nurse with a variety of surgical nursing skills and attributes. Experience working with adults and children. 3+ years Surgical Nursing experience. Must be able to work all shifts Monday to Friday. Flexibility to move around the 4 units. Solution focused, adaptable, self‑motivated with the ability to think on your feet, excellent time management and interpersonal skills. Leadership or coordinator experience.
