Specification Specialist

Description A market‑leading construction products business is looking for a Specification Specialist to join their New Zealand team. This is a rare opportunity to own the specification function nationally for a globally backed brand with a strong presence in the NZ market. The Role You’ll be the face of the business to the specifier community, architects, designers, engineers, and head contractors. Your job is to get the product specified early and keep it there through to construction. You’ll manage a national project pipeline, deliver CPD presentations, attend industry events, and work closely with the commercial and product teams to convert specifications into sales. This is an autonomous, field‑based role. You’ll be given the tools, the product training, and the support to help you get out there and make things happen. What You’ll Be Doing Building and maintaining relationships with architects, specifiers, and key influencers across Auckland, Waikato, and BOP, with a national remit over time Securing product inclusion in preferred specifications, standard details, and master specification systems Delivering CPD presentations and technical seminars to design and construction professionals Managing your pipeline through Salesforce from early design through to project conversion Collaborating with product and sales teams on priorities and commercial opportunities What We’re Looking For A self‑motivated go‑getter who thrives on being out in market Strong knowledge of the NZ construction and building materials market An existing network within the specifier channel, architects, designers, engineers Familiarity with MasterSpec, BTSL, EBOSS, and Pacificon A proactive, commercially minded operator who thrives with autonomy Technical understanding of construction products waterproofing, adhesives, sealants, or similar an advantage Auckland‑based with a full NZ driver’s license What’s On Offer A well‑resourced, globally backed business with genuine market presence in NZ Sole specification function for NZ, real ownership and scope to grow the role Company vehicle provided Genuine growth opportunity Comprehensive product training and onboarding support If you’re a relationship‑driven, technically credible professional who knows the NZ specifier market and wants to own a national function, we’d like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
