Make a meaningful difference every day by playing a key role in delivering safe anaesthesia and positive patient experiences.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principlesof Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system thatserves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**As an Anaesthetist Technician / RNAA, you will:* Assist anaesthetists during surgeries by preparing and handling anaesthetic equipment;* Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures;* Maintain anaesthetic equipment and stock supplies;* Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support seamless and efficient operating theatre operations;* Comply with hospital policies and safety standards, maintaining a high standard of patient care.This is a Fixed Term role for up to 12 months, coveringparental leave.The hours are 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE). Surgicalspecialties covered include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology,Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Acute/Trauma, Paediatrics, Plastics andVascular.For more information on living and working in Nelson click here**About you**To be considered for this position you must:* Be a Registered Anaesthetic Technician or a RNAA, with a current APC issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ) or be eligible for the same;* Have relevant experience in an anaesthetic or perioperative setting is preferred;* Have strong attention to detail, effective communication, and team collaboration skills;* Be ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department and cope with a high and varied workload, including emergency situations.*The successful candidate must be eligible to work in NewZealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.***Working at Health New Zealand**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
