About the Role We have a Psychogeriatric Senior House Officer full-time position available at Health NZ (NelsonMarlborough) at Alexandra Hospital, Richmond, Nelson . This positionis suitable for PGY2 and above and commences in August 2026 . This role is initially Psychogeriatrics. As a Psychogeriatric Senior House Officer, you will assess and admit all admissions, perform physical examinations, implement treatment plans, maintain clinical records and attend weekly meetings to name a few. The hours are 8.30AM to 4.30PM daily. Out of hours long days 4.00PM to 10.00PM; weekends 8.00AM to4.00PM one day and 8.00AM to 10.00PM another day. Work will be on the Nelson Hospital House Officer out ofhours roster. No on-call but there could be additional duties . About the Team / Service / Location Our team of 50 House Officers within 140 RMO’s work together to provide team based services to the patients of Nelson Marlborough. About you As a Psychogeriatric Senior House Officer , you: Need to be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand; Need to meet Immigration New Zealand requirements to be eligible to live and work in New Zealand; Will enjoy being part of a team, and contribute your medical knowledge across all disciplines, The successful applicant must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
