About The Role Based in Wairakei, Taupo, you’ll be perfectly located to experience the renewable energy industry as well as enjoy all that this area has to offer outside of work. Engineering Internship (2026/27 summer period) You’ll have the opportunity to power up your career in this highly rewarding field and get unique exposure to a variety of our sectors and functions, including: 2D and 3D CAD Draughting Supporting geothermal steam-field and hydropower mechanical engineering estimating and project work Support field maintenance services and work on power station shuts About You If you have a genuine interest in learning about and getting involved with renewable energy, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be a practical engineer who enjoys being involved with the full lifecycle of a project from office-based planning and design, liaising with workshops, as well as field work on site. Qualifications To be considered for our undergraduate internship, you will: Be currently studying towards Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Years 2-3 preferred) Hold a Full NZ Driver licence Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and be an effective problem-solver Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team Be confident using Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel Have working knowledge of CAD software (Ideally Solidworks or Bently Microstation) Applicants must be eligible to work in NZ and either live in Taupo or be willing to relocate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
