Within this, the Organisational Transformation function ensures our people, systems, and processes evolve together as we deliver our strategy. It brings together multidisciplinary teams to design and roll out new policies, practices, and digital tools, and to support leaders and teams to adopt new ways of working. Te tūnga | The role Maritime NZ is undergoing a period of change to strengthen its sustainability and future focus. Following an organisational redesign, we are recruiting into a number of newly shaped roles that support our shift toward more efficient, digitally enabled ways of working, helping position us for the future. This is a senior delivery leadership role focused on enabling effective, coordinated delivery of Maritime NZ’s organisational transformation programme. As Organisational Transformation Delivery Enablement Lead, you’ll supporting the business leads to deliver to across multiple interconnected projects under Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga. Rather than owning delivery directly, you’ll work through influence to ensure initiatives are aligned, well‑sequenced and focused on outcomes. Key areas of focus include: Enabling coordinated delivery across a complex, multi‑year transformation programme Maintaining a system‑wide view of initiatives, including dependencies, risks and overlaps Supporting Business Leads and Product Owners to deliver aligned, outcome‑focused work Helping sequence and prioritise work into manageable, meaningful delivery increments Establishing and embedding fit‑for‑purpose delivery practices Identifying and removing delivery barriers, bottlenecks and cross‑cutting issues Supporting sustainable delivery through realistic planning and continuous improvement Facilitating collaboration across policy, digital, operational and user‑centred teams Building organisational capability in delivery practices and ways of working This role is central to ensuring transformation is delivered in a coherent, coordinated and sustainable way across the organisation. You’re an experienced delivery or transformation professional who thrives in complexity. You bring strong systems thinking and the ability to influence across large, multi‑faceted environments. You will bring: Experience working across complex programmes or portfolios with multiple delivery owners Strong understanding of adaptive delivery approaches in uncertain and evolving environments Proven ability to identify dependencies, risks and systemic delivery issues Experience navigating competing priorities and resolving cross‑programme tensions Ability to apply delivery disciplines (planning, risks, dependencies) pragmatically Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority A focus on outcomes, continuous improvement and long‑term capability building Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Maritime NZ recognises and respects te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Māori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
