Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager (Consultancy)

11th June, An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in both the commercial and delivery sides of construction. This is a unique split role where you’ll spend approximately 60% of your time focused on Quantity Surveying and 40% supporting Project Management and project delivery. Working across a range of commercial construction projects, you’ll be involved from project inception through to completion, giving you valuable exposure beyond a typical QS position. About the Role This position would suit a motivated professional with 3-6 years’ experience who is looking to broaden their career and develop their project management capability while continuing to strengthen their commercial expertise. Key Responsibilities Cost planning, estimating and budgeting Procurement and subcontractor management Variations, progress claims and financial reporting Contract administration Assisting with project planning and programme management Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders Monitoring project delivery, quality and project outcomes Supporting the successful delivery of multiple construction projects What We’re Looking For 3-6 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the New Zealand construction sector Experience working on commercial construction projects Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership An interest in developing Project Management skills and responsibilities Relevant tertiary qualification preferred What’s on Offer Salary package of $90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience Genuine career development and mentoring Exposure to both commercial and project delivery functions Long-term career progression opportunities Supportive and professional team environment Wellington-based role commencing August / September If you’re a Quantity Surveyor looking to expand your skillset and take the next step towards project management, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
