Job Description

Join an award-winning, New Zealand business in a rare opportunity to step into a high‑exposure role supporting senior leadership at the centre of a growing organisation! We’re working with a 100% Kiwi‑owned and operated business that has grown significantly and built a strong reputation in a specialist corner of the insurance market since launching just over a decade ago. With their headquarters here in Auckland, they’ve expanded into Australia and Singapore and now have a team of 100+ people – all while maintaining a considered, advice‑led approach to how they operate. With strong growth forecast over the next 12–24 months, the business is in the middle of a broader transformation, investing in systems, AI, and smarter ways of working. It’s a point in time where there is real momentum, ongoing change, and a clear focus on what comes next, with a leadership team that is commercially sharp, moves quickly, and is deliberate about how they scale. The role This is a broad, highly visible position working closely with the Chief Executive and wider leadership team, offering exposure across both strategic priorities and the detail that underpins their delivery. It combines coordination, analysis, and behind‑the‑scenes execution, giving you a unique vantage point across how the business operates. You’ll play an integral role in supporting the smooth running of the business as it continues to evolve – bringing structure to moving parts, preparing insight to inform key decisions, and helping ensure the leadership team remains aligned and focused. A key part of the role is supporting how the leadership team operates – contributing to planning rhythms, ensuring meetings are purposeful and outcomes‑focused, and maintaining visibility across key priorities and commitments. Alongside this, there is a strong emphasis on identifying more effective ways of working, whether through streamlining processes, reducing manual effort, or introducing tools and automation that enhance overall capability. It’s well suited to someone who demonstrates a strong ownership and accountability, enjoys operating at pace, and brings a high level of organisation. Responsibilities Prepare briefing materials, board packs, leadership reports, and strategic materials to support executive decision‑making Consolidate and analyse data from across the business, turning complex inputs into clear, actionable insight Support leadership team planning cadence, including agendas, pre‑reads, outputs, and follow‑through on key actions and commitments Support key initiatives and keep critical projects moving forward across teams Act as a central connector across leadership, maintaining visibility and alignment across functions Identify inefficiencies and streamline processes, with a focus on automation and smarter ways of working Build and trial AI tools and agents to improve reporting, data collection, and internal workflows Manage meeting coordination, including agendas, key outputs, and follow‑through on priorities Handle sensitive information with a high level of judgement and discretion What You’ll Bring Experience in finance, consulting, banking, or a high‑growth / scale‑up environment Exposure to senior stakeholders or executive‑level work Strong analytical capability, with the ability to simplify complex information into clear outputs A genuine interest in technology, automation, and improving how work gets done A proactive, self‑directed approach and a natural inclination to take ownership Well‑developed organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively Confidence working with senior stakeholders, supported by sound judgement and professionalism Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with the ability to adapt as the role evolves Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well‑structured executive‑level materials A grounded, low‑ego approach and a consistently high standard of work Why Join? Exposure to how a growing business operates at both a strategic and operational level The chance to contribute to how the business evolves, particularly in its use of AI and automation A role where your impact is visible and your contribution is recognised A business with strong growth momentum and ongoing transformation Flexible working with a mix of office and home‑based time To apply for this vacancy, you must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or already hold a valid visa that grants you the right to work in New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
