Experienced Cellar Operator

Senior Cellar Hand We’re hiring 4 Senior Cellar Hands to join our winery operations team. This is a hands‑on, shift‑based role. You run operations, take ownership, and step up to lead during harvest. Responsibilities Run wine transfers, additions, filtration and tank operations Operate cellar equipment independently (presses, pumps, filters) Maintain hygiene, food safety and quality standards Lead or support teams during vintage and peak periods Coach junior team members and help lift performance Keep accurate records and meet production targets During harvest: 12‑hour shifts, day/afternoon/night work required, lead teams and own outcomes on shift Qualifications Must have: 3+ years winery/cellar experience Strong understanding of cellar operations Ability to work shifts and long hours during peak periods Reliable, safe, and consistent under pressure Leadership expectation: Lead by example Bring people with you People want to be on your shift Compensation & Benefits Pay: $31.00 – $32.50 per hour (depending on experience) Minimum 40 hours per week Additional hours required during peak periods Leadership allowance: additional hourly rate when taking on 2IC or 1IC responsibilities during harvest and peak operations Benefits: TWE Me Day, 2 paid volunteering days, wine allocation and staff discounts Role Details Location: Rapaura, Marlborough Employment type: Permanent, full-time Positions available: 4 #J-18808-Ljbffr
