Site or Project Engineer | Relocate to Canterbury

Looking to call Canterbury home? We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site or Project Engineer to be based in their Timaru branch. They have a strong pipeline in place across bulk earthworks, drainage, and roading. Key Responsibilities Oversee & manage daily onsite activities. Site sets outs and as builts using the rover and GPS equipment. Liaise with the contracts manager on programming. Interpret plans to ensure accuracy & quality. Ensure all safety requirements are met, prestart risk assessments, toolbox discussions, PPE equipment. Management of subcontractors & other parties. Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. Project quality assurance documentation and project reports. The Ideal Candidate Exposure to civil construction projects. Experience dealing with subcontractors, key suppliers, and other parties. Excellent communication skills. Current driver’s license.
