The role Reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, you will join our knowledgeable and experienced sales team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. Based in Palmerston North, you’ll work with existing customer accounts throughout the area, building long-term relationships and maximising sales whilst generating and pursuing leads and seeking out new business in a highly competitive market. Being a market leader in our field, our products and solutions can be found across many different industries, creating great sales opportunities for our team. You’ll look after our varied customer base, develop and secure new business opportunities, build partnerships and customer relationships with existing clients, look for new and diverse market segments, and devise a strategic growth plan for the area focusing on local businesses to maximise profitability. There is lots of flexibility in the role and you will work closely with our operations teams around the region. Requirements and Qualifications To shine in this role, you’ll bring an energetic and enthusiastic self to work every day. A background with sales experience in the heavy machinery (materials handling, construction, forestry, earthmoving) industry would be advantageous. You should have a proven sales success with a background in B2B sales development/disciplines and be able to demonstrate strategic planning and solid negotiation skills. About you A fantastic ‘can do’ attitude and a positive outgoing personality are the key qualities we’re searching for. While we’d love you to have proven experience within an Industrial Capital Equipment Sales role, being a team player, an ambitious sales professional and having great customer service/relationship skills is much more important to us. If you have the right attitude, are willing and eager to learn and grow, then we can teach you the rest!
