Job Description

Overview Permanent, full‑time position based in Christchurch – Ōtautahi (multi‑site). Responsibilities This role focuses on supporting the effective use of farm data, systems, and technology across Ngāi Tahu Farming operations. You will work closely with Farm Managers, operational teams, and leadership to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and useful for decision‑making across the business. The role contributes to improving how information is gathered, reported, and used, while supporting the implementation and ongoing improvement of farm systems and technology. It provides a practical connection between on‑farm activity and reporting, helping translate data into insights that support day‑to‑day and longer‑term farm performance. Qualifications You will bring a blend of practical experience and curiosity about data and systems, and: Experience in farming, agricultural systems, or data/technology environments. Confidence working with systems, data, and reporting. Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem‑solving. Good communication skills and ability to work across teams. Ability to translate information into clear, useful insights. A collaborative, supportive approach with a willingness to build capability in others. Adaptability and openness to working across different farms and teams. An openness to embrace Ngāi Tahu values and grow your cultural understanding.
