The role of our Asphalt Paving Supervisor is a critical part of our successful Northern Surfacing team based in Auckland. Our surfacing teams work across the North Island, however most of our work is based in the Auckland region, working out of our Wiri yard. We have a healthy forward workload, so job security over the long term is assured. The role The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and deliver Asphalt Paving projects with a focus on completing works on time, within budget and to the specifications and satisfaction of our clients. This involves but is not limited to managing staff onsite, supervision and co‑ordination of Asphalt Paving resources, including suppliers and subcontractors. About you We are looking for a candidate who has a great attitude, strong work ethic and wants to contribute and refine their skills as part of our supportive surfacing team. Key requirements for the Asphalt Paving Supervisor role are: Minimum 5 years' surfacing experience would be ideal. Knowledge and understanding of Asphalt Paving Plant Excellent staff leadership skills Excellent communication skills with clients on the job. Competence in coordinating and planning. Basic computer skills. Previous frontline management interfacing with clients and stakeholders. Can help train and progress staff within the team. We need someone who has tenacity, and a true passion for getting the black stuff on the ground. A willingness to be flexible regards work hours and some travel is also needed.
