Job Description
Role Overview Fixed‑term, part‑time 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) secondment opportunity covering parental leave until May 2027. The role is based at Christchurch Health Campus, with hours between Monday and Friday negotiable. Travel across Canterbury and the West Coast may be required. Key Responsibilities Assessment and treatment of patients referred to the Cancer Psychological and Social Support Services. Provision of support and advice to members of the wider multidisciplinary team. Participation in the ongoing development of the service. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. NZ Registration as a Clinical / Health Psychologist with a current APC. Previous experience in a hospital setting with cancer patients is preferred but not essential. Full NZ driver’s licence (required for community travel).
