Principal Advisor, Investments Location: Wellington, New Zealand Job Level: Principal Advisor, Permanent full‑time position reporting to the Manager, Investments. Overview The Investments team works in a fast‑paced environment focused on supporting Māori economic development and housing. Responsibilities Analyse investment proposals and support robust decision‑making processes; evaluate risk and opportunity, and prepare business cases using financial and operational data. Contribute to monitoring investment performance, preparing reports on fund management and delivery, and ensuring outcomes align with objectives. Strengthen investment processes in line with best practice, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Qualifications Strong analytical skills and sound judgement in investment evaluation. Experience delivering government grants or other relevant investment experience is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work independently while mentoring others. Clear and effective written communication; comfortable with performance and financial reporting. Profound understanding of Māori cultural contexts, the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti ō Waitangi, and public sector processes.
