Job Description

Registered Teacher Busy Bees Whau Valley is welcoming a Registered Teacher to join our close‑knit team. The role focuses on providing high quality care and education for tamariki, guiding their developmental journey using the Te Whāriki curriculum, and building authentic relationships with families, whānau, and colleagues. Responsibilities Provide high quality care and education for tamariki enrolled at the centre. Plan and guide the developmental journey of each tamaiti using Te Whāriki as a foundation. Plan and deliver a daily programme that brings your own creative ideas to the curriculum. Build strong and authentic relationships with families and whānau. Maintain a high standard of physical care and hygiene throughout the day. Foster a welcoming and co‑operative working atmosphere with the rest of the team. Engage in ongoing professional development to keep your practice current and transformative. Ensure the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of every child are met through a supportive environment. Qualifications Holds a Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification with current registration. Values child‑led discovery and pedagogical excellence in practice. Builds warm and approachable relationships with whānau and tamariki. Honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi through inclusive and equitable mahi. Brings initiative and proactive energy to the centre. Acts with professional integrity and respect for our multicultural community.
