Consultant Psychiatrist - Inpatient Older Persons Location: Te Whare Ra Uta, Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua Service: Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Mental Health Service Older Persons (MHSOP) inpatient unit. The MHSOP is a 16-bed specialist inpatient unit located on the Kenepuru Community Hospital campus. We work as a multi-disciplinary team including nursing, medical, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, social work and support staff. MHSOP provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation interventions in partnership with clients, whanau, primary care and other agencies, primarily focusing on older adults with complex behavioural and psychological needs secondary to a dementia process (BPSD). About you: Vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) FRANZCP or equivalent qualification and ability to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ Experience working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Relevant experience and training in older adults mental health Location: Wellington region – Porirua campus of Kenepuru Hospital.
