Clinical Nurse Specialist - Melanoma (General Surgery) Exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth and development. About the Role We are looking for a senior registered nurse with proven leadership skills to take up this position in our Service. The CNS role provides specialist nursing assessment, education, care coordination and support to patients diagnosed with melanoma and related skin cancers acting as a point for contact for patients, whanau, clinicians and allied health teams throughout the melanoma care pathway. This involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide care to patients based at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland. The CNS plays a pivotal role in ensuring patients receive timely, evidence‑based and compassionate care from initial diagnosis through active treatment and surveillance. The role requires advanced clinical judgement, strong leadership and a commitment to service development and quality improvement. For further details, please refer to the position description here. About you For this role, we are looking for the following: Expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills Post graduate qualifications, preferably to masters level. Innovative mindset and able to network with different stakeholders An ability to work effectively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Competent in the use of IT systems, e.g. Microsoft Excel and various local databases.
