Technical Director – Aviation We have a fantastic opportunity for a leader in aviation to join our transport sector. In this role you will maintain a client focus while driving project performance and technical excellence for the group. You can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. Responsibilities Instil a strong client centric ethos in the service line, leveraging local and global know-how, resources, and technical expertise to be the leading consultancy in aviation. Provide operational management and leadership of the aviation service line to achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients and our stakeholders through maximising commercial, people and project outcomes. Actively engage and collaborate with clients to grow and build opportunities. Manage and ensure development of client pipeline and prospects across the service line. Work collaboratively with others to develop/implement a consistent multi-discipline service offerings across the business/country. Actively monitor overall performance of projects within service line to ensure client outcomes are achieved. Provide leadership and/or inputs on project teams (project director/manager/technical as appropriate), ensuring WSP Project Management procedures followed. Apply your technical capability to deliver services to clients yourself through projects. Ensure there is active participation or representation in appropriate industry groups for aviation. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aviation related management position. Experience in developing new business by identifying and capitalising on opportunities to increase revenue, profit, and expand market penetration. Strong project delivery experience with sound commercial awareness. Experience contributing to business development and maintaining client relationships.
