About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Alcohol & Other Drug Clinician, with a minimum of 2 years experience, to work alongside our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. You will be conducting comprehensive alcohol and other drug assessments and developing collaborative recovery plans utilizing your range of therapeutic models that support your work with tangata whaiora and have a passion for group work along with providing essential relapse prevention and counselling skills. About the Team Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS) provides support and services for adults (18 years and over) and whanau with complex alcohol and other drug concerns, often alongside mental and/or physical health co-morbidities. We are a team that values professional development and believe that tangata whaiora deserve care from clinicians who are both skilled and compassionate. Our team works collaboratively with our Te Whatu Ora, Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve positive outcomes for our tāngata whaiora, while continuing to grow and develop our own practice. About Hamilton Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, NewZealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With around 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, Waikato Hospital provides comprehensive hospital services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. As a major teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of Auckland, University of Waikato, and Wintec, it offers a dynamic learning environment and access to research opportunities.
