Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day This position is based at the Harapaki Wind Farm, located in New Zealand. The successful candidate must reside in the local area no further than 1 hour drive from the site. How You’ll Make An Impact Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wind turbine towers, including scheduled and unscheduled tasks Solve and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems such as pitch, speed control, and converters Lead tools and spare parts' inventory for installations and repairs Replace worn or faulty components and ensure accurate record keeping and reporting Demonstrate strong dedication to SGRE safety standards, with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills Possess electrical/mechanical aptitude, flexibility for on-call work, and comfortable working in small teams under varying wind conditions What You Bring Electrical trade qualification registered in New Zealand with an unrestricted NZ driver’s license. Experienced in conducting Risk Assessments and preparing Safe Work Method Statements. Strong safety and environmental awareness; comfortable working at heights. Physically fit and skilled in using tensioning and bolt‑torquing tools. Desirable: Experience in wind industry or large-scale industrial projects, EST qualification, and GWO certification.
