About the Role Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a driven, high‑performing Account Manager to join the momentum and help shape the future of farming in the Manawatu region. This is an opportunity to positively disrupt an industry and pioneer groundbreaking change, working with some of the highest‑performing dairy farms in New Zealand. You will be the primary point‑of‑contact for Halter customers, passionately driving farmer success for one of the world’s fastest‑growing companies. Location This role is to be based anywhere in the Manawatu region. Frequent travel is required as part of the position. What Your Day Could Look Like Revenue Retention & Expansion: Own the retention, renewals and expansion targets of Halter’s existing revenue in the region. Ensure farmers are extracting full value from Halter to achieve their goals and understand the impact on their farming business. Account Management: Renew customer agreements and expand revenue of existing customers by adding value in every interaction to drive on‑farm goals and performance. Deployment: Support onboarding, training and implementation of the Halter system on customers’ farms, ensuring all relevant farm owners, managers, and workers can use the system. Relationship Building: Proactively cultivate genuine and trustworthy relationships with farmers, their teams, and families, fostering strong connections. Farmer Success: Strategically partner with customers to establish clear business goals, timelines, priorities and metrics of success. Problem‑Solving: Provide prompt, effective communication and support, addressing technical or operational challenges with expertise and efficiency. Community & Networking: Represent the Halter brand with pride, lead local discussion groups and build strong networks in the community for increased visibility. Customer Advocate: Act as the voice of the customer and bridge the gap with product teams to provide important context about the ground reality. Technical Expertise: Work closely with product teams to provide practical advice from a farmer’s perspective on reproduction, pasture and agronomy. Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting others to succeed and role‑modeling Halter’s Operating Principles. Who We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience in relationship management/account management roles. Experience in dairy farming or within the agriculture sector with a deep passion for helping farmers succeed. Strong business acumen. Positive attitude and collaborative team player who excels at overcoming challenges. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
