Tradesperson - Engineering

We’re chasing solid Fabricator/Welders and Fitter/Welders to join a busy, well‑established engineering firm in Nelson . If you can weld, fabricate, and keep plant machinery running , you’ll fit in perfectly. What you’ll be doing Fabrication & welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) across general engineering projects Plant maintenance on fibreboard, sawmill and heavy‑industrial machinery Breakdowns, repairs, fault‑finding and preventative maintenance Workshop builds, structural steel, pipework, brackets, guards, frames Occasional site work around local mills and manufacturing plants What we’re looking for Strong fabrication/welding skills Experience as a maintenance fitter or fitter/welder Ability to strip, repair, rebuild and maintain production machinery Safe, reliable, practical tradesmen who know their way around a workshop Why join the team Solid, long‑term work with a respected Nelson engineering firm Variety: workshop fabrication + real hands‑on plant maintenance Supportive crew, good culture, and consistent hours Click 'APPLY' now.
