As this is a casual position you could expect ad hoc shifts covering leave and illness, with some forward planning and scheduling available when covering planned leave. This casual position offers the challenge of a high‑acuity environment, and the reward of being part of a close‑knit, diverse team. Delivering healthcare in this environment can be challenging. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is looking to step into or expand their skills within an acute and emergency environment. You will work alongside our multidisciplinary team within the Acute Zone, which has 9 emergency beds, 4 short‑stay beds and 2 paediatric beds and sees an average of 40 presentations per day. About You Qualified registered nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Background in emergency departments with an interest in paediatrics. Experience or interest in TNCC, ENPC and triage is advantageous. Motivated and adaptable within high‑pressure environments, able to work comfortably with both paediatric and adult patients. Ability to work within a team but also autonomously to meet service demands. Experience in a similar environment (e.g. ED, Paediatrics, CCU or similar).
