Senior Cabinetry & Joinery Estimator

Complete Construction is seeking a Senior Cabinetry & Joinery Estimator to be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom cabinetry for retail, hospitality, high end residential and commercial joinery projects. The position requires extensive industry knowledge, strong technical understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, manufacturing processes, and exceptional attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for bespoke cabinetry and joinery projects. Review architectural drawings, specifications, tender documentation, and site information. Quantify materials, labour, hardware, subcontractor requirements, and installation costs. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing. Develop competitive quotations and tender submissions. Maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules. Monitor market pricing trends and material cost fluctuations. Project Review & Planning Identify potential design, manufacturing, or installation challenges during the estimation process. Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure buildability and cost-effective solutions. Participate in project handovers to production and project management teams. Assist in value engineering initiatives where appropriate. Client & Stakeholder Management Liaise with clients, architects, designers, builders, and consultants regarding project requirements. Respond to requests for information and quotation clarifications. Present cost breakdowns and explain pricing assumptions when required. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners. Process Improvement Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of estimating systems and procedures. Assist in refining production rates and costing methodologies. Support implementation of software and digital estimating tools. Mentor and support junior estimators where required. Skills & Experience Minimum 5–10 years' experience in cabinet and joinery estimating. Strong understanding of retail, hospitality and commercial joinery construction. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Procore or similiar Strong communication and negotiation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Experience preparing tender submissions for commercial projects. Working knowledge of New Zealand building practices and construction industry standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
