Job Description St George’s Hospital seeks experienced operating theatre nurses to join a multidisciplinary team providing a broad range of surgical specialties. The role involves supporting anaesthesia and surgical staff across a range of procedures and ensuring high‑quality peri‑operative care. Specialties: General/Vascular or Robotics, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology/Urology Part‑time and full‑time vacancies available (0.6 to 1.0 FTE); theatre schedules Monday to Friday 07:00 to 21:00 with occasional 10‑hour shifts Desired Skills and Experience Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Essential skills/experience for the role: Current New Zealand Nursing Registration and practising licence Depth of experience in your chosen specialty Passion for and delivery of high‑quality peri‑operative care Excellent supportive, engaging and positive team skills Commitment to professional practice, personal development and continual learning Effective communication, facilitation and patient advocacy Ability to collaborate with all hospital teams and support service development Initiative to contribute to best practice standards and service improvement Applicants must be a New Zealand resident or hold a current New Zealand work permit.
