Job Description

Position Overview 2026 Training Year Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar. The role will involve collaboration with experienced consultants and staff, providing robust teaching and supervision, and working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will provide individualized support, care, and guidance to women from diverse backgrounds and contribute to a culture that values work‑life balance, diversity, and inclusion. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with experienced consultants and staff to deliver patient care. Provide inpatient and outpatient care, including participation in medical and surgical settings. Offer individualized support, care, and guidance to women from diverse backgrounds. Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior staff and trainees. Engage in subspecialty areas as listed below. Subspecialties and Areas of Special Interest Gynaecological Oncology Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound Maternal‑fetal Medicine Reproductive endocrinology and infertility Urogynaecology Minimal Access surgery Qualifications and Eligibility Minimum of 9‑12 months experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Applicants should not be RANZCOG trainees already on the training scheme (you do not have to be a RANZCOG trainee to apply).
