Reliability & Planning Manager

Lead reliability strategy at one of NZ’s most iconic dairy manufacturers and drive world-class asset performance. The Opportunity Westland Milk Products, part of the global Yili Oceania group, is seeking an experienced Reliability & Planning Manager to lead site-wide reliability, maintenance strategy, and planning functions. This senior leadership role combines technical expertise, people leadership, and continuous improvement to optimise asset performance, reduce downtime, and support safe, efficient operations. Develop and deliver site reliability and maintenance strategy Analyse asset performance and drive loss elimination and downtime reduction Lead root cause problem elimination (RCPE) for major failures Strengthen preventive & predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs Own asset lifecycle and critical asset strategies Lead planning, scheduling, and engineering stores optimisation Improve backlog management, schedule adherence, and work discipline Build capability and lead planning and stores teams Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Technical teams About You Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Several years’ experience in reliability, asset management, or maintenance strategy Strong background in manufacturing (dairy/food preferred) Experience in RCPE, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement Proven leadership of teams and systems (CMMS, planning & scheduling) Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills Why Join Us?
