1x Welder and 1x Fitter (TASMAN)

About the Role We’re looking for a 1x Welder and 1x Mechanical Fitter to join our team on-site at Oji Tasman. These are hands‑on roles in a busy industrial environment, supporting maintenance, repairs, and project work while delivering safe, high- quality outcomes. Local Kawerau / Rotorua candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. What You’ll Be Doing Welder: Welding and fabrication (mild steel & stainless) Plant repairs and maintenance Reading and working from drawings Supporting shutdowns and site work Mechanical Fitter: Maintenance and repair of mechanical plant and equipment Fault finding and breakdown response Installation and assembly work Supporting shutdowns and continuous improvement What We’re Looking For Trade background in Welding or Mechanical Fitting (qualified or equivalent experience) Experience in industrial or heavy industry environments preferred Strong focus on safety, quality, and workmanship Reliable, team-focused, and able to work on a client site Good problem‑solving and communication skills What We Offer Permanent, full-time work (40 hours per week) Stable, ongoing work on a key client site Supportive team and strong safety culture Opportunities to grow within IMG Pre‑employment checks apply: Drug & alcohol test and medical. #J-18808-Ljbffr
