Job Summary Our Sydenham are on the hunt for a reliable and energetic Driver/Warehouse person to join us in the electrical trade industry. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your role will have the motivation and initiative to ensure our customers get the right product and experience an exceptional level of service every time they deal with us. This is a hands‑on role that combines delivery driving with warehouse operations, so you’ll need to be organised, practical, and customer focused. Key Responsibilities Heavy lifting, e.g. cable rollers and drums, bulky items (ducts) and pallet stacking. Measuring cable and good Health and Safety practice when using cable cutting machine. Receiving, unpacking and inspecting incoming goods in a timely manner. Delivering items to customers on time, providing accurate paperwork with goods. General administration of all stock data and records, and merchandising duties. Serving customers over the counter, phone and email re: sales orders and enquiries. Picking goods and collection of cash/payment. Customer account queries (credits, returns). Ideal Candidate Communicate clearly and work well as part of the team. Solid organisational habits and time management. A collaborative mindset and respect for doing things the right way. Hold a full, clean NZ driver’s licence. Hours The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, worked between the hours of 7.00 am – 5.00pm. There is also requirement on occasion to work outside these hours for customer engagement and events.
