Bus Driver

Position Overview Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) seeks a bus driver to operate the daily Woodland Park route before and after school. The driver will ensure safety and maintain a Christ-centered environment on board. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications Drive a CSCS bus for the daily Woodland Park route before and after school. Place the safety and security of students as the highest priority. Obey all traffic laws. Opportunity for additional hours driving for student athletics and field trips. Must be able to work independently. Establish and maintain an environment on the bus that reflects the values of CSCS. Discipline appropriately and communicate discipline issues with school personnel as needed. Commit to and fully support the missional and organizational standards including Core Values, Mission Statement, Doctrinal Statement, and Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs. Additional Qualifications, Skills and Responsibilities Evidence of spiritual maturity and a Christian servant’s heart. Current CDL or ability to obtain a CDL; CSCS may assist with costs. Current First Aid / CPR certification or ability to obtain certification. Communicate bus maintenance needs timely. Sensitive to the needs of students and parents. Preferred flexibility to assist with field trips and athletic events as needed. 2+ years working with children preferred. Show ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness.
