This role sits in the Council’s Community Group, which comprises of community focused services such as Hamilton Pool, Parks and Recreation, Hamilton City Librariesand the city’s three main visitor attractions. Job Description Waterworld Te Rapa is our flagship aquatics centre and it offers something for everyone. With six pools including toddler and outdoor pools, hydroslides, a full‑service gym, land and water‑based exercise classes, learn to swim classes and more. As a Learn to Swim Teacher you will be teaching preschool and school‑aged children the basics of swimming and water safety. We are looking for people with good communication and relationship building skills. We have a number of roles available working 3.25 – 10.25 hours per week. The shifts will vary between afternoons from 3:15‑6:30pm and weekends from 7:45‑11:30am with Sunday am and Monday pm a priority. We are looking for people with a passion for ensuring that the next generation of New Zealanders grow up being capable and confident in the water. If this is you, we would love to talk to you!
