Field Service Engineer I

Field Service Engineer Christchurch, New Zealand – the candidate will be based in Christchurch and will be expected to travel to sites outside of Dunedin (Queenstown, Dunedin, and Invercargill) when required. Key Responsibilities Service, maintenance and commissioning of Honeywell and third‑party equipment (as per trade expertise). Day‑to‑day servicing, calibrations and maintenance; including diagnoses, repairs, faults, programming and commissioning in various control systems across HVAC, BMS. Delivery of Service Projects; including design, documentation, procurement, programming and commissioning. Navigate and interrogate Control System Interfaces. Estimate materials costs and quantities. Ensure customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipients. Key Experience & Capabilities A Trade Certificate in a related field is essential. Electrical certification is an advantage. At least 2‑3 years of relevant experience in BMS, HVAC required. Experience in Building Automation DDC controls or PLC controls. Niagara experience is an advantage. Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have the ability to travel as required. Intermediate computer skills. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Self‑motivated and ability to work independently without supervision. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
