We are seeking a passionate Tikanga Advisor to promote and embed Tikanga best practices within our education programmes. In this role, you will: Work alongside the Tikanga team to support and enhance educational programmes. Ensure Tikanga principles are integrated into everyday practices across Counties Manukau. Foster a culturally safe and responsive workforce through education and engagement. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, based at Middlemore Hospital. You will report to the People and Professional Development Lead, with a professional reporting line to the Tumu Tikanga, Chief Advisor Tikanga. About You Experienced in Māori paradigms, customs, and Tikanga. Comprehensive knowledge of Tainui Tikanga. Fluent in Te Reo Māori and able to confidently integrate Tikanga into daily practice. Skilled in group facilitation, presentations, and engaging diverse audiences. Highly competent in written, verbal, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships and partnerships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
