About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join a high‑performing team in Hawera. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of agricultural and construction machinery, both in the workshop and on‑site. This is a varied, hands‑on position offering a mix of technical challenge, customer interaction, and fieldwork. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of machinery and equipment. Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and instruments. Access service and parts information using computer systems, including machine diagnostics. Dismantle, repair, and rebuild components to manufacturer specifications. Complete all administrative and service documentation accurately and on time. Collaborate with internal teams to meet workflow and production deadlines. Travel to client sites as required. Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards. Deliver professional, ethical, and customer‑focused service. Skills and Experience Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic capability. Excellent technical and mechanical skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Commitment to safety and quality. Minimum 2 years in a mechanical repair workshop. Experience with agricultural or construction machinery. Qualifications Relevant trade qualification in heavy machinery, automotive, or diesel mechanics. Desirable background in agricultural or construction equipment.
