Physiotherapist | Women’s Health | Christchurch Hospital Part time (0.7 FTE), permanent role within Women’s Health (56 hours/fortnight) Overview We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to provide quality outpatient and occasional inpatient care across obstetrics, gynaecology, and pelvic pain specialties within Women’s Health at Christchurch Hospital. Key responsibilities Assess and manage a range of women’s health presentations, including lower back pain during pregnancy, continence issues, prolapse, and chronic pelvic pain, applying detailed anatomical knowledge and evidence‑based musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Complete appropriate interventions, provide advice, and refer to other services as required. Supervise and mentor staff and student participants. Support quality improvement activities and contribute to interdisciplinary service development. Qualifications and experience Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Women’s Health. NZ registration as a Physiotherapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate. Broad clinical experience in a hospital setting (desirable). Knowledge of chronic pain management principles and adult education principles. Understanding of quality improvement principles and processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work unsupervised. Demonstrated leadership abilities (desirable).
