Job Description

About the Company Ag Emissions is New Zealand's agricultural emissions research centre. We shape, fund and manage a national research and development portfolio, build capability and infrastructure, and connect researchers, government, industry and international partners to support agricultural emissions solutions. As we continue to grow our visibility and strengthen stakeholder engagement, we're looking for a Marketing & Digital Coordinator to join our team and help bring our communications and digital programme to life. About the role Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you'll play a key role in delivering marketing and communications activity across the organisation. This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days are the same. One day you might be creating social media content, updating the website and designing graphics; the next you could be supporting an event, building an email campaign, coordinating a survey or helping prepare communications materials for a research announcement. You'll work closely with researchers, programme teams and external partners to help showcase research, capability, partnerships and organisational impact through engaging and professional communications. Key Responsibilities Social media & digital marketing Help grow Ag Emissions’ digital presence by creating and publishing engaging content across social media platforms. Monitor performance, track engagement metrics and use insights to continuously improve results. Content creation & design Create high‑quality visual content and digital assets using Canva or similar design tools to support marketing and communications objectives. Develop presentations, promotional materials and stakeholder communications, while adapting content for different channels and supporting a range of multimedia projects including reports, publications, photography and video. Website & digital channels Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of Ag Emissions’ website and digital platforms. Update and optimise content, assist with SEO and digital discoverability initiatives, and monitor website performance to help drive engagement and reach. Email marketing & stakeholder communications Develop and distribute email communications through platforms such as Mailchimp, helping to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Support stakeholder engagement activities, coordinate surveys and feedback collection, and maintain communication databases to ensure accurate and effective outreach. Events & coordination Provide coordination and communications support for webinars, conferences, training programmes and stakeholder events. Manage content calendars and campaign schedules, coordinate marketing activities across projects, contribute to reporting and administration, and work closely with the wider Strategy, Impact & Engagement team to deliver successful engagement initiatives. About you You’re organised, proactive and enjoy making things happen. You enjoy design, working across digital channels and are confident juggling multiple projects and deadlines. You’re equally comfortable creating social media content, updating a website, building an email campaign or coordinating an event. Most importantly, you turn ideas into action and take pride in producing high‑quality work. What we offer A culture that values innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Ongoing professional development and training opportunities. A collaborative and inclusive workplace guided by our organisational values.
