Role Overview This vacancy has become available due to an expansion of the team and is a reflection of the importance of the work we undertake. The role is broad and diversified, encompassing problem solving, complex analysis, software engineering, data science, and researching emerging technology. You will need to be able to start your career with us in Wellington, but there may be the opportunity for relocation to Auckland in future years. Responsibilities Software development: Develop and maintain solutions to support intelligence missions. Technology Research: Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology relevant to our work. Complex Analysis: Perform and automate complex analysis across a wide range of datasets. Telecommunications and Infrastructure: Leverage expertise in these areas to drive analysis outcomes. Data Insights: Glean insights from disparate data sets, identifying trends, changes, and summarizing current information. Problem Solving: Apply structured problem‑solving techniques to analyse complex and open‑ended questions, providing novel insights. Engagement: Proactive engagement across our mission to understand requirements and present on findings in domestic and international forums. Ability to quickly research emerging technologies relevant to our missions. Capacity for practical problem‑solving, particularly against novel problems. Have a degree in a field relevant to Technical Analysis, examples include Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or similar, or relevant work experience in Technical Analysis or Engineering roles. Eligibility Requirements Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years. OR Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years. Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries.
